TommyBoard #002: Sam's Longboard

When Sam saw the shortboard I made for myself, she ordered a longboard for Cowell's. I designed this one myself, shaped it in Steve's shaping room and had it glassed at Handcrafted (they did a great job).

TB#001 in Progress

Preshape:

The board was designed by Guru shaper, Steve Coletta, in APS3000 software and cut on Matt Ambrose's APS3000 machine. For reasons I don't know why, Steve offered to teach me how to construct my first board from preshaped blank thru wiping on the sealer. It was a great experience working under the direction of such a master craftsman. I learned tons, had fun and ended up with a board that I've already had a few good sessions on. I'm really grateful to Steve for taking the time to work with me.
